I am often asked how I got into birds…
A good friend had a few pheasants and I had actually never seen them before, only the ring necks that we would hunt for sport. He told me where he got his, and off I went to see Bonny and Walde.
This is how I started, I said to Bonny sell me two of those and two of those after that. I met other breeders that had more than just pheasants or more costly ones – boy was I hooked. Sadly, one by one my friends no longer have birds or have passed on. I just go slow and learn from other bird lovers.
My suggestion is to join the American Pheasant And Waterfowl Society (APWS) to learn more and find birds for sale.
I am ALWAYS GLAD TO HELP – CALL ME ANYTIME (ABOUT BIRDS).
